Why is Frontend So Hard?

The complexity of modern frontend development has long since become a meme; only the lazy haven't joked about new JavaScript frameworks coming every week. In this talk, we will try to look at this situation from a different angle and try to understand why this is happening and what we can do about it. To do so, we are to explore the evolution of approaches to GUI development, starting from the MVC and leading up to the trendiest methodologies, while discussing the reasoning behind each paradigm shift. Finally, we will even try to peek into the future and speculate on which direction frontend development might be heading towards.
