Navigation with a Voice Assistant

Voice assistants are increasingly becoming part of our lives — they help us to pick the music, plot routes, order taxis and much more. However, such assistants are rarely encountered on the web, although the Speech API was added to browsers 10 years ago.

I will tell you how far browsers and JavaScript have advanced in recognising voice and pronouncing speech. We will cover the available solutions and limitations, and also create a small application that will allow you to navigate with the help of a voice assistant.
