Technology is changing the world around us faster than we are changing ourselves: new tech stacks, professions, ways of communicating and making decisions, and new ideas about the future. We learn to use new tools, but often continue to rely on habits and mental models formed many years ago. Perhaps that is why one of the most important skills today is the ability to remain human: to notice, to feel, to make sense of what is happening, and to make choices of our own.
In this workshop, participants will explore how to stay grounded and whole amid constant change. Through coaching exercises and shared inquiry, we will work with the body, emotions, thinking, and the inner resources we can draw on. We will pay particular attention to noticing the limits of our own perception, testing our conclusions, and not outsourcing our thinking—even to a highly intelligent AI, the people around us, or our own fears.
Participants will leave with a more integrated understanding of what is happening and a clearer sense of what they want to rely on in a changing world.
