Graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of Lomonosov Moscow State University (1988), then completed postgraduate studies at the same faculty. Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor.
His research interests include cognitive sciences and cognitive psychology, psychology of thinking, psychology of solving tasks and problems, methods of activating creative search (heuristics and heuristic strategies), tasks and problems, experts and expertness (high level of achievement) in the sphere of solving tasks and problems, mechanisms of embodied cognition in thinking and behaviour, physical and semantic affordances, features of psychological theories, different types of explanatory models in psychology of thinking.
