Analysis of large geographically dispersed data through visualization on a map

The talk is based on the experience of building three systems for business analysis of geographically distributed data. The talk will be about the use of the Mapbox GL JS library.

The demanded functionality:

• data display;
• screening;
• layers;
• comparison on two maps;
• data run.

We will highlight the problems and solutions in:

• data loading;
• clusterization;
• managing the state of multiple maps;
• UI performance;
• download speed and response generation on the backend.

Target audience — JS developers who work with map visualization or will work in the future.

The audience will learn about hardships that arise during big data visualization and ways to bypass/overcome them. You will also hear about the opportunities of maps and the desired functionality of applications for business intelligence.
